Bentonite Seals
bentonite seals are a wide range of extruded "plastic" profiles with various cross-sections used to waterproof concrete joints.
The swelling of the profiles ensures a permanent seal when water enters the joint. The basic component of the bentonite mixture from which seals are made is bentonite, a clay mineral with swelling properties. Placing a bentonite seal in a confined concrete space restricts the bentonite's ability to swell. Penetrating water causes the bentonite to hydrate, forming an impermeable gel that becomes a waterproof barrier and, under the influence of swelling pressure, fills and seals cracks and pores in the concrete, effectively preventing further water ingress.
Bentonite seals of various profiles are used: as sealing of vertical and horizontal technological breaks in concreting, for connections between new and old structural elements, irregular surfaces, and around installation pipes embedded in the structure. as sealing of sewage well connections, as intervertebral seals. Our bentonite seals are characterized by the following properties: effective and long-lasting sealing effect, easy and quick installation, the plastic form of the seals allows them to be placed on any shape of the substrate, resistance to low and high temperatures.

bentonite seals are manufactured in the form of seals with a round profile in the diameter range of 10mm to +-40mm and a rectangular cross-section according to customer requirements, e.g. 8x16mm; 12x25mm; 15x25mm.
